Chess coach and tournament director, Kala Bagley. has joined her local efforts with those of CCL.  Coach Kala will be providing what amounts to the Pre-CCL function for CCL in the Akron area. Upon her recommendation, her students will automatically be allowed entry into the highly acclaimed CCL chess school.  This will provide a path for potential chess players of Akron from learning the game to mastering the game.  This Pre-CCL training with Coach Kala is open to any chess student in the greater Akron area. Two group lessons are conducted
Fridays 4-4:45pm Introduction to chess ( for beginners )
Mondays 6pm -7pm Group Lessons (get students ready for tournaments, familiarize with rules and understanding the game of chess)

A little about myself:
I am from Malaysia and played throughout my school age and won a few Statewide championships and represented Nationals.
I furthered my studies in The USA and what became a hobby of teaching small children developed into a club today. My students are all from referral and we have won many tournaments locally and state. I recommend chess for kids for motivational and academic reasons and strongly encourage girls to play for boosting their confidence and self-esteem.

My expertise is introducing chess to children.
I am an officer in the Canton Chess League and a certified Club TD.
